Challenge 1

The first challenge has been concluded.
lobsterlady gets immunity...congrats!
and LisaMay is eliminated.

Here are the sets that everyone submitted and our critiques of each set. ♥noble beeyotch♥'s critique will be first followed by mine(shoegirl927).

lobsterlady - You have put together some gorgeous pieces and the outfit looks fierce even though it's in pastels. The draped skirt takes the outfit from being regular to high-fashion. The accessories go very well with the outfit and give it the fierceness. It would be interesting to see how you work with colors in the coming challenges.

lobsterlady- I loved the pale colors that you used in this set! The model also stands out to me. The way you layered all the pieces on the right hand side all look like they are sitting on the floor perfectly! GOOD JOB!

S†εfi Wσlfgαηg Vση Fяankεnstεiη✖ - Your's was the boldest entry for this challenge and we were glad to see someone veer from the tried and tested path. It was very audacious of you to take pieces that wouldn't necessarily be considered chic or sophisticated and use it for a song that has certain feminine undertones. Even though the Doc Martens don't actually go with the dress, we can actually see this look on the runway. We can clearly see your individuality shining through the set, but be careful not to go overboard in the upcoming challenges.

S†εfi Wσlfgαηg Vση Fяankεnstεiη✖ - Your entry was my favorite! I loved it! The only thing that threw me off was the shoe choice but in the end it was for that reason that your set still stood out to me. I will be looking forward to seeing your take on a more “girly” set.

♥♥Jennadette♥♥ - You immensely impressed me in this challenge not only because of your impeccable entry but also because you meticulously described your look and the make-up on you model in your notes section. That clearly shows how much time and effort you had put into this challenge. Also the fact that you actually found a yellow submarine just like the one in your Beatles song has me bowled over. Yellow and purple is a very difficult color combination but you have balanced it with the very basic and neutral outfit. Your layout is nice and spaced out, so next time i would love to see it used to its full potential.

♥♥Jennadette♥♥ - Your set stood out to me because of the bright colors paired with the neutral shades made the set very delicate looking and I just love that. The two pictures in the background go very nicely with the set as well.

sylvester2074- The pieces that you chose were individually very strong, so the whole look turned out to be fierce as well. You accessorised your look very well and all the pieces of jewelery complement the overall look. The Blazer and tank are very basic, which makes this look wearable, but the crazy briefcase(i think i am in love!) and the fierce skirt give it a high-fashion flair. The green of the blazer and briefcase stands out perfectly against the more or less neutral outfit and i just wish you had used a more spaced out layout.

sylvester2074(taking requests)- This set seems a bit “scruched” to me for some reason. However I like the clothing choices and the model picture does stand out. I also like that you put a reference in the set for the theme of the challenge.

Incubeautee- Yours was the most avant-garde outfit from all the entries. The dress, with all the detailing and the puff sleeve looks as if it was made for the beatle's song. I also appreciate the fact that with such a strong central piece you did not play it safe in terms of accessories. The shoes and the dress are world apart yet i can actually see this look walking down the runway. The bag gives it the much needed pop of color and you also used the lyrics in your set. In the future please be careful to not let the background images and texts overpower your outfit.

Incubeautee [Billboard requests]- WOW this dress is beautiful!!! I like the boot and the purse but that picture on the left is distracting me from the model picture. I also love the quote you used from the beatles, nice touch.

EvaDonohoe - I love the color palette you used for the outfit. The tank is very interesting especially the quote in it. The rugged boots gives a nice twist to the outfit which is based around a floral skirt and belt is adorable. The outfit would look even better and more fashion-y if you accessorized it more.

EvaDonohoe..In Portugal - I LOVE this set! Everything goes together so well! I love how you put the chunky boots with such a feminine outfit… it’s all quite good.

karazygonch- The outfit very beautifully compliments the song that you chose. The fur stole adds just the right amount of feminine touch to the rocker jeans and the studded black shoes and the basic tank saves the outfit from going overboard. But please be careful with the background texts and writings as they maybe taking away from the outfit.

karazygonch (TAKING REQUESTS!!) – I see what you were trying to do here and I like the black and white theme of the set. However, the text background is somewhat distracting me from the clothes.

dimlights-When i look at you set, my eyes instantly go to the outfit, with all it glimmer and detailing. I was very impresses with your layout and the fact that the outfit was retained as a cynosure for the eyes. Your assigned model was the only picture in the background, which gave focus to your desired look. You kept accessorising to the minimal which really worked for this look and this song but you should be careful that it may not always be so. Sometimes, you made need to act that extra to take an outfit from wearable to wearable art.

dimlights- I love this pale shade that you choose for this set and the picture goes well with the theme of the set! Very feminine and delicate! LOVE IT!

Dear You, Sincerely Me. - It was quite daring of you to use so many colors in the outfit. It doesn't always work, but in this case since the song is such a fun colorful one, the outfit actually compliments the song. Kudos to you for using all the current trends of the season- bodycon skirt, statement necklace, cut-out booties in one set. We can actually see agyness deyn, your model muse rocking this look. Hopefully you will maintain your sense of style throughout the competition, without compromising on aesthetic aspect.

Dear You, Sincerely Me.- WOW there are a lot of colors in this set! I have to admit I am not a huge fan of bright colored sets, but in this case I think it works really well. I can see your model clearly in the set so the whole set stands out to me. Nice job!

ChLoee...☠♫ We can see that you tried to recreate a 'shadow' here in accordance with the song the look is inspired by. An all black look can only very rarely go wrong. The contrasting cardigan makes the outfit eye-catching and the accessories are right on target. We can see that you are good with a literal interpretation of the inspiration, but we look forward to seeing you think beyond the safe alternative.

by -ChLoee...☠♫ [TAKING REQUESTS] I agree with ♥noble beeyotch♥ about black sets being easy to pull off but this set still is beautiful! I love the layout and the way you used the pictures of your model! Great Job!

charvidacharmer - For your first challenge itself you decided to be daring enough in neons. You took a risk and i appreciate that, but i can't say that i am actually getting the look. Frankly, that has to do with the fact that you chose the song yellow submarine as your inspiration, even though there is candy written all over your set. Maybe you made an outfit that someone would wear on a yellow submarine? whatever the reason is, the outfit kinda falls flat as compared to the rest. I love the accessorizing that you did for the outfit, which in my view is the high point of the look. The layout you used is very simple and that really works in your favor this time.

charvidacharmer – I like how your model stands out to me when you first see the set. I am not a huge fan of neon colors but the way you everything set up in the set makes it very fun to look at, however I still feel like it is missing something. I look forward to maybe a more “lighter” color at some point in time.

QueenSheba (is catching up)- WOW!! This set is so good!! I love the outfit and the pictures and the chanel items! Very classy! GREAT JOB!
